Maxwell Financial Labs - Senior Software Engineer, 2021 - 2025
- Worked as part of a small team to implement a full redesign of a highly customizable enterprise-grade mortgage application experience using modern React patterns and redux toolkit to query a json-api spec compliant rails backend. Acted as technical lead on large aspects of the project, mentoring junior engineers, breaking down work, and coordinating engineering resources to complete that work.
- Enhanced an existing loan pricing product to integrate with a third-party fees engine to add realistic closing costs to specific loan products. The React SPA triggers sagapatterned events via Apollo GraphQL to call Rails micro-services to fetch and parse fees data.
- Implemented key aspects of a fully redesigned borrower experience which greatly improved our borrower drop-off rate and overall satisfaction with our product.
